This deck is, in fact, absolute garbage. But what were you expecting from Szeras?
The real question is: do glecs go to heck? For was it not so that Dante wrote that the depths of heck induce suffering by encasement in ice. In that case, one might argue that glecs are in themselves the spawn of heck. But if this were true, then why are they found on the surface? Could it be that they were sent by the true Lord, Bird Jesus, in order to enact vengeance upon we who do sin. But what can be defined as sin? Is it truly so wrong to be in possession of a Dome fossil? Surely one might argue that this is an unjust discrimination against trilobites. Thus, we can make the connection between sin, glecs, and trilobites. Both glec and trilobite are connected to water (ice and water respectively). Ice is seemingly a less popular element in representation than fire. In addition, ice is far less consistent in effects, with fire almost always being purely damage focused, occasionally dealing residual damage (such as the Burn status in Pokeymans). The Burn status is not a threatening source of damage in EOS, contrary to poison. In EOS, the Freeze status is among the least impactful statuses in the game, being the least effective of the non-volatile statuses.
On the other hand, in that which shall not be named, the burn status deals damage (around 1/6 max HP i believe) upon using any move (regular attack included). Freeze prevents action and damage received for 10 turns, removed by Fire moves.
